Activision Talks Call of Duty Elite: “We Still Have to Prove Ourselves”, “There’s a lot of People we Pissed Off”

The launch of Activision’s Call of Duty Elite service had a pretty rough start last year, something the company has made it clear they are well aware of and looking to improve upon.

Beachhead’s subscription-based service, which launched late last year on consoles and still has yet to make it to the PC, posed a number of problems for PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers when it was first made available. As such, the team hopes to win back the gaming community by improving the service and truly making it worth your while.

Noah Heller, product manager of Activision, told MCV:

We still have to prove ourselves.

There’s a lot of people we pissed off all the way back to November, and we have to show them we are not going to let that happen again. But we have started fulfilling our promises and people are starting to get it is real value for money.

There’s no doubt that the service has been getting exponentially better since its initial launch. With plenty of content to keep the Call of Duty faithful happy, they’re definitely living up to their promise. Let’s just hope they keep the momentum going and don’t turn to this.
