North American gamers who participate in online MMO DC Universe Online via their PS3s are about to receive a major discount in the game’s online marketplace, but for a limited time only.
On the PS Blog, DC Universe Online Executive Producer Larry Liberty announced that as part of the SOE Summer Sizzle, the first-ever sale for PS3 players of the game starts later today and lasts until July 10th. The sale applies to North American PS3 players and grants them a 50% discount on all items in the game’s online marketplace. The sale will begin with today’s PlayStation Store update.
Liberty says that the sale has been in the works for several months and believes the effort will pay off for the MMO’s users. He also says that there’s been a desire for quite some time to offer a sale of this kind to loyal players on PS3 and that SOE would like to offer more sales in the future.
