Bethesda Pulls Prey Sequel From Website, Says Don’t be Worried

Bethesda and Human Head’s Prey 2 turned a lot of heads when the game made its triumphant debut at E3 last year. Unfortunately, the game’s development has been rocky at best, with delays, rumored cancellations and a hefty dose of development discord.

It appears that the situation hasn’t gotten much better, as Prey 2’s publisher has pulled the game from its official website. According to Bethesda, the removal of the title from their games page was a decision based on the fact that they want to only include titles that are launching soon.

A spokesperson from the company told IGN:

Since we had already announced it wasn’t coming out this year and we don’t have anything new to say on the game at this time, we simply didn’t think it’d be appropriate to include it on the new site launch. We chose instead to focus on the upcoming titles we are talking about.

While this is by no means definitive evidence that Bethesda has completely abandoned the game, it certainly doesn’t bode well for its future. The fact that they don’t have anything positive to say about the title definitely raises a few additional red flags… As if there weren’t enough already.
