While reports not too long ago confirmed the closure of WipEout developer Sony Liverpool, it appears that something has risen out of the ashes.
A new post on the developer’s @wipEout2048 Twitter account indicates that the team is still somehow alive. What this means exactly, remains to be seen. The post itself only says: “WE. ARE. ALIVE.” In addition, an image (posted above) was included with the tweet.
What do you think this means? Could former members of the studio be working on a new WipEout under the leadership of a different team at Sony? We have yet to hear anything about this ambiguous announcement from Sony, so we’ll have to manage our expectations for the time being.
