Spend $100 on PSN in October, Get $20 in Credit

October is a big month for gaming as the summer slump finally comes to an end and holiday blockbusters start to come out. But Sony doesn’t want to share the money you spend on games with pesky retailers, and so is eager to get you to buy the games online.

Last week, SCEA announced the PSN Day 1 Digital scheme, with day-and-date digital games coming to the store all month. On top of that, PlayStation Plus members get a 10% discount when they pre-order.

But buying at retailers like Amazon are often still cheaper, so Sony has come up with yet another way to tempt you to spend big bucks on their store – if you spend $100 on the PSN, you’ll get $20 in credit. The spending covers anything on PSN, including the NFL Sunday Ticket or PS+, but is limited to the first $100.
