SuperBot Job Listings Indicate PlayStation All-Stars Sequel may be in the Works

A couple of job listings at SuperBot indicate that the studio is hiring for work on a new project, which appears to be a sequel to Sony’s mashup brawler.

NeoGAF user Nirolak first spotted SuperBot’s job listings for an art director and game designer. The description for the game designer position noted requirements including “a near encyclopedic knowledge of modern games, with emphasis on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale” as well as a “knowledge of fighting games, their systems and mechanics a serious plus”.

The art director listing also directly references PSABR, leading one to believe that the studio is gearing up for a sequel. The post reads:

A project such as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which by definition brings together elements ranging from an incredibly wide range of artistic styles, requires a strong and unifying vision to present a cohesive and polished product.

While neither listing explicitly says the next project is PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2, it sure appears to be what they’re gearing up for.

Perhaps Sony is hoping to have a new version of their brawler primed and ready to go around the time of the Orbis’ launch? Would you buy a sequel if it was a PS4 launch title? Let us know in the comments below.
