Remember when it was revealed that EA and Black Troll Studios were working on a PS3 exclusive FPS? And then when we uncovered it had gone multiplatform? No? Ok, well the game has been cancelled anyway.
As spotted by PSLS reader Liam Argent, the website of developer Rick Stalder states:

CANCELLED?
As quietly as it came, Black Troll disappeared. It’s single title, “PENANCE” has been cancelled after more than a year in development.
It’s a real shame that we never got to see just what exactly the mysterious studio was working on, especially if it had remained exclusive to the PS3. The question mark after “cancelled” does suggest the possibility that the game still has a chance of being reborn, but that might just be wishful thinking on Stalder’s behalf. Meanwhile, on his LinkedIn, he just lists Penance as cancelled.
