PC owners have had the privilege of playing through the Defiance beta multiple times already, and though the PlayStation 3 never received one, Trion Worlds always promised that it was coming.
Even with just under a month to go before the game launches on April 2nd, Elizabeth Tobey, Director of Community at Trion Worlds, said today that, “You are totally getting one. Seriously. I know for a fact. I have seen it. With my own eyes!”
Her reason for issuing that response was due to a user question that asked if a beta test would really impact things at this stage in the development process, something Elizabeth explained in greater detail:
Well, the game is going to launch on April 2nd and we are ready to go on that front – HOWEVER we have abilities to make changes so the beta test is actually a beta test in that we’re testing a lot of functionality (you guys kicking the tires on the servers is chief among them.) Your feedback will be crucial to us and will be worked into updates starting as soon as we get that feedback.
When the Defiance beta is finally given a date, we’ll be sure to let you know what it is, but in the meantime, Dan’s preview of the game is waiting for you right now.
