Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Confirmed for North America and Europe in 2013 (Update: Europe Gets International Versions, North America Too)

Update: The EU PS Blog detailed that both Final Fantasy X HD and X-2 HD would feature the International Versions of the games. For FFX, this means an Expert version of the Sphere Grid where everyone starts in the middle, but there’s less nodes, as well as new abilities, new superbosses (Dark Aeons and Penance), and more.

Update 2: The US PS Blog has confirmed that the North American versions of FFX HD and FFX-2 HD are going to include the International Versions as well.

Original Story: You don’t need to wonder any more if the Final Fantasy X HD and Final Fantasy X-2 HD news is real or not as Square Enix has confirmed their existence.

Launching at an unspecified date this year in North America, Europe, and Japan, the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster (that’s what Square Enix is calling it) will be available in a single bundle for the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation Vita is then going to be getting FFX HD and FFX-2 HD separately.

Yoshinori Kitase, Producer of FFX and FFX-2, spoke about the news:

These games are classic fan-favorites, and we hope that new and old Final Fantasy fans can experience the world of Spira and the story of Tidus and Yuna in a brand-new light with these remastered editions.

An announcement trailer is going to be released on Monday, March 25th, and will hopefully narrow down the release window a little bit.

Are you going to buy the Remaster? Or do you hope they release them separately on the PSN for PS3 so you can purchase just one of them? Let us know in the comments below.
