There are 2 trophies that are only available on the PlayStation 3 version and they are Going Green and First Person. The trophy Derby King is a silver on Vita and bronze on PS3. There are a few trophies that can be a little tricky due to the situations that are required happen randomly. Good luck and play ball!

In the Books – Platinum

-Earn all of the MLB 13: The Show Trophies.

Read this guide!

Escape Artist – Silver

-As the pitcher, escape from a no out, bases loaded jam without any of the runners scoring (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This situation will happen naturally by just playing. It is possible to intentionally walk the bases loaded at the beginning of an inning and try to work your way out of it.

Payback Time – Silver

-After getting hit by a pitch, hit a home run on that player’s following at-bat (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This trophy requires a little luck as you are not hit by a pitch too often. The player who gets hit must be the one to hit a home run in his very next plate appearance.

Bringing the Heat – Bronze

-Earn a save by throwing all fastballs (one and two-out saves don’t qualify; only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Play a full game and get into a save situation. Bring in your closer and close out the game by using nothing but fastballs.

Dreaded Leadoff Walk – Bronze

-Draw a walk with the first hitter of an inning (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Simply earn a walk with your first batter of an inning. This will happen naturally over time by just playing.

Average Boost – Silver

-Get 5 hits in a single game, with a single player (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This trophy should come naturally over time by just playing the game. The same player must get 5 hits in one game.

Disrespected – Bronze

-Hit a home run immediately after an intentional walk (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Yet another trophy that should come naturally by just playing the game. If the CPU intentionally walks you the very next batter must hit a home run.

2-Out Rally – Bronze

-Score 3 or more runs after the first two batters of an inning made outs (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Another trophy that should come naturally by just playing the game.

Quick Thinking – Bronze

-Pull off a successful 1-2-3 double play (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

You can set this one up by intentionally walking the bases loaded. The ball will have to be hit back towards the pitcher and first throw to home plate and then have the catcher throw to first base.

Small Ball – Bronze

-With a runner on second and/or third with no outs, hit a ground out to the right side of the field that advances the runner(s) (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Yet another trophy that should come naturally by just playing the game.

Brand New Ballgame – Silver

-Tie the score after being down by 4 runs in a game (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Yet another trophy that should come naturally by just playing the game. This can be set up by intentionally walking 7 batters to score 4 runs at the beginning of the game. After that do your best to come back.

Sitting Dead Red (Hidden) – Bronze

-Hit a home run after having successfully guessed fastball (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

You will most likely get this trophy with out even trying. Just guess fastball and hit a homer!

Didn’t Even Break a Sweat – Gold

-Have your starting pitcher throw a complete game with 58 or fewer pitches thrown (only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

One of the more difficult trophies in the game. Don’t go for strikeouts and do not walk anyone. You’re going to want to try and limit your pitch count to 6 or less per inning.

Worm Killer – Silver

-As the pitcher, induce 15 or more ground outs in a single game (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Keep your pitches down in the zone to increase your chances of getting a groundball. You can also intentionally not catch pop ups or fly balls in order to keep the game going and to give yourself more chances.

Strike ‘Em Out, Throw ‘Em Out – Bronze

-Turn a double play by striking out the batter and throwing out the runner stealing (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

You can partially set this trophy up. There are a few things that need to happen earn this trophy. First you need the runner to attempt a steal and second, he needs to run on a 2 strike pitch that the batter swings and misses on. Throw fastballs in order to make sure the ball is reaching the catcher as quickly as possible.

Piling On – Silver

-In a single game, score 20 or more runs (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Pretty straight forward, just keep scoring runs. Using the highest rated team against the lowest rated will help with this.

Number 17 – Gold

-In a single game, hit 4 or more home runs with the same player (not achievable in Home Run Derby; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This one is a little more tricky as there might not be enough at bats during a 9 inning game. The trophy still counts in extra innings. If you have a hitter with a home run or 2 you can try making quick outs with the other batters in order to get the batter with the homer back up.

Winning Combo – Gold

-Throw a combined no-hitter with 2 or more pitchers (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Similar to previous years except this time you have to use multiple pitchers. Using a team with a highly rated pitching staff against a poor hitting team will help achieve this.

Credit Extension – Gold

-In Citi Field (NYM), have a player hit for the cycle (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

In order to hit for the cycle a single player must hit a single, double, triple, and a home run. It does not have to be in any order as long as you get one of each. Select Citi Field in exhibition to go for this.

Bang the Drum – Gold

-In Turner Field (ATL), hit a home run to center field that hits the bongo drum (on the fly).

This trophy should be attempted in Home Run Derby. Select Turner Field and hit home runs to center field. On the fly just means that the ball cannot land some where else and bounce into the drum.

So Close, Yet… – Bronze

-In Oriole Park (BAL), hit the scoreboard in right field (on the fly, in fair territory).

This trophy should be attempted in Home Run Derby. Select Oriole Park and aim for the scoreboard.  The scoreboard starts in right field and stretches to right center.

Brewed Fresh – Silver

-In Miller Park (MIL), hit a home run in the stands to the right of center field hitter’s eye (on the fly).

This trophy should be attempted in Home Run Derby. Select Miller Park and aim for the small bleachers section in right center.

Bronx Bomber – Bronze

-In Yankee Stadium (NYY), hit a home run into the second deck of the right field stands (excludes classic stadiums).

This trophy should be attempted in Home Run Derby. Select Yankee stadium and aim foe the second deck. This one should come quick.

Arr, Matey! – Bronze

-In PNC Park (PIT), hit a home run that hits the PIRATES hedge in center field (on the fly).

This trophy should be attempted in Home Run Derby. Select PNC Park and aim for center field. You will see the target hedge almost immediately.

Land Ho! – Silver

-In Safeco Field (SEA), hit a home run into the bullpens in left-center that lands on dirt.

This trophy should be attempted in Home Run Derby. Select Safeco  Field and aim for left center. This one can be a little tricky because alot of homers will go over the bullpen. Just keep at it and you’ll get it.

Hail to the Chief! – Silver

-In Nationals Park (WAS), hit a home run off the right field pole.

This trophy should be attempted in Home Run Derby. Select Nationals Park and aim towards far right field. This one can be alittle tricky because you need to pull the ball down the right field line and actually hit the foul pole.<

Latest and Greatest – Bronze

-Complete a The Show Live game (only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

The Show Live is a new mode that has players recreate actual MLB games. Simply play and complete one game and the trophy is yours.

First Person – Bronze

-In Road to the Show, catch a fly ball using the new Manual Catch feature.

Manual Catch is a feature that must be turned on in the options menu. Go into the RTTS menu and then Options > User Settings > Mode Specific and there you can turn it on. After that select an outfield position and wait for a fly ball to come your way and press L2 to catch the ball. Note: This trophy is only on the PS3 version and not on the Vita version.

Fall Ball – Bronze

-Complete a Postseason Mode game (only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).
