EA: “The Next Generation of Hardware is Incredible,” Star Wars Plans Getting Detailed at E3

Now that the Xbox One unveiling is over and EA showed off a bunch of titles for the next generation, Frank Gibeau, President of EA Labels, was able to give a candid statement about Electronic Arts.

After calling the next-gen hardware “incredible,” he revealed that the Battlefield 4 demo that debuted way back in March “was actually showcasing the next generation of Battlefield, which will run on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.” So, this is what you can expect on PS4 when Battlefield 4 launches on the system:

As for specific genres that there’s so much more to show of, Frank named “racing, RPGs and shooters that are going to astonish you with their graphic fidelity.” Judging by those clues, he’s likely just talking about Need for Speed, Dragon Age III: Inquisition, and Battlefield 4.

It’s possible that he’s also referencing the Star Wars games, which are going to be getting some attention during their E3 2013 press conference on June 10th at 1PM PST, where EA will be giving us a first look at their plans, in addition to showing off a bunch of next-gen titles.

To finish everything up, he then named “DICE, BioWare, Criterion, Visceral, EA Sports and others,” who have the job of showing us what the new consoles can do.

With so much expected to happen at the EA press conference, are you going to tune in on June 10th? Or is the Sony one all you care about? Let us know in the comments below.
