It turns out that “soon” actually meant tomorrow as the closed beta for Killzone: Mercenary has officially begun today. Invites for this have been sent out to those who were accepted, but if you didn’t get in, the open beta begins in late August, which will include those who received a code in the PlayStation Home E3 promo.

Killzone: Mercenary releases in retail stores and the PlayStation Store on September 4th in most of Europe, September 5th in Spain and Portugal, September 6th in the UK, Ireland and Australia, and September 10th in North America.
