Heavy Rain Passes 3 Million Copies Sold, 3% of People got the Platinum Trophy

In celebration of his 100th tweet, Guillaume de Fondaumiere, Co-CEO of Quantic Dream, announced that Heavy Rain has now crossed 3 million copies sold.

Meanwhile, just under a week ago, the Beyond: Two Souls Twitter account let it be known that Heavy Rain had a Platinum rate of 3%, the same number as of December 2011 (where it was also said that 3 million people had played Heavy Rain, not bought).

If you still have yet to play Heavy Rain, Amazon.com has the Director’s Cut on for $19.99, or you can watch this really old video interview with Sebastian and David Cage, though you don’t actually get to see what Sebastian looks like, sadly.

Quantic Dream’s next game, Beyond: Two Souls, launches on October 8th for the PlayStation 3, with GameStop offering up a 30 minute episode and special edition upgrade at no extra charge.

Were you one of the 3 million people to buy Heavy Rain? Did you get the Platinum? Let us know in the comments below.
