SoulCalibur: Lost Swords Comes to PS3 This Winter, Gameplay Trailer Shows off Some of the Fighters

Officially given a release date of winter 2013 on PlayStation 3 through the PlayStation Network, SoulCalibur: Lost Swords has also been given a trailer—which shows off some gameplay, along with some of the characters you can expect to fight with in addition to the already announced Siegfried and Mitsurugi:

Lost Swords will include a new item discovery and forging system, as well as elemental-based fighting mechanics where elements like Wind and Fire will be “imbued” into weapons you can get from defeated enemies or ones you forge yourself.

Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Namco Bandai America, had this to say about the game:

The SoulCalibur series has long been known for its substantial single-player modes over the past 14 years. SoulCalibur: Lost Swords allows the development team to expand the solo-fighting game concept further than it has ever gone before with new loot-drop gameplay, elemental-based weapons, and deep character customization options that the series is known for.
