Just over a month after the original announcement, Ubisoft and Sony have confirmed that Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD (it dropped the III from the title), will be releasing via the PlayStation Store on January 14th, 2014 for just $19.99. No details were given for a European release date or price, so stay tuned for details as they arrive.

Momchil Valentinov Gindyanov, Producer at Ubisoft Sofia, talked about what the jump to consoles meant to them:

When we set out to do Liberation HD, our objective was simple: improve upon what worked on the Vita and adapt the gameplay and missions to be the most fun and enjoyable they could be. As a result, each mission has been reworked in order to improve its pacing, and the challenge it poses to the player.

Also in this HD version, there will be new missions specific to Aveline’s Personas. Each of her personas – Assassin, Lady, Servant – have their own advantages and disadvantages when playing through missions, with all of them garnering different reactions from the city around her. In all, you can expect 15 of these missions.

Knowing that it’s just $19.99, will you be making the leap and buying Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD? Or will you land in a bundle of hay instead? Let us know in the comments below.
