I’m definitely ready for the weekend!

General News

  • In a series of tweets from Street Fighter Executive Producer Yoshinori Ono, he revealed that Capcom is hiring for a new fighting game. Unfortunately, he really can’t talk about whether it’s on next-gen consoles, or say anything else about this mysterious game. [Twitter]
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are both hosting Double XP events until next Friday. If you’ve played both games, you’ll then get some exclusive in-game backgrounds. [Source]

  • For Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, it will include all content up until patch 1.10 that was released in Japan, Cross Play between PS3 and PS Vita for up to 4 players, the randomly generated Tower of Yggdrasil dungeon, the transfer of your Ragnarok Odyssey character;s physical features (name, face and job class), and new skills, bosses and items. • Emails are being sent out to PlayStation Plus members in North America with access codes for the Destiny of Spirits PS Vita beta. [Check Your Email!]
  • It’s likely not going to end up being true (hopefully it comes out sooner), but NewEgg has given DriveClub a new release date of March 25th, 2014. [Source]
  • The release date for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z in North America has been confirmed for January 28th, 2014. It will be available at retail for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with the PS Vita getting a digital only release. [Press Release]
  • Don’t forget to keep entering your gold trophies into the Greatness Exchange raffles going up each day. [Do It!]
  • According to Creative Director Brian Hayes, EA’s upcoming EA Sports UFC “is running at 1080p. The game sim is running at 60fps, but rendering at 30fps with motion blur. From prior experience working on Fight Night Round 4 and Fight Night Champion, which rendered at 60 and 30fps, respectively, we discovered that 60fps didn’t have a hugely beneficial impact on gameplay, but motion blur had an enormous impact on visual quality.” [Source]
