GAME Responds to PS4 Cancellation Emails: “Your Console is Safe”

After reports surfaced of people receiving emails from GAME about their PS4 pre-orders being cancelled, the retailer sent out this tweet:

Anyone with queries on launch day/phase 1 PS4 orders – your console *is* safe, even if you’re one of a few who have got a cancellation mail.

They then said how “we’re getting in touch proactively with people in this situation and you’ll get a call from us to process your payment” before posting this update:

If your PS4 order has been cancelled don’t panic, your unit of stock will still be allocated to you. If your order has been cancelled, your details will automatically be added to a list and we will contact you proactively.

PS4 Consoles will be shipped using DPD who have an excellent next day rate of delivery. We won’t be able to take any further questions on Twitter tonight, but we have top people getting back to previous tweets.

If you wanted to get in contact with them about your order, their website says:

We are currently experiencing a very high volume of contacts. If your query is about your PS4 or Xbox One order, your console is reserved for you and we will call you soon.

So, your best bet is to wait for a phone call about your PS4 from GAME.
