Update 2: The US PlayStation website has been updated to include the Black Friday deals. At the very bottom it says, “Up to 65% Off Digital Download Titles,” with The Last of Us, Saints Row IV, Diablo III, and God of War: Ascension shown.
Update: Jawad Ashraf and Fred Dutton of the European PS Blog have teased that “there will be something over the weekend” and to “come back on Friday” when talking about sales. We’ll let you know once we hear more.
Original Story: We were told by Crystal Mackenzie that we should expect some deals on the PlayStation Store this Black Friday weekend, and it looks like an ad on the Store has confirmed it to be true.
While clicking on the actual ad does nothing yet, by heading to Games, then Discounts, then On Sale Now in the PS3’s Store, you’ll see an ad that reads:

Sony has yet to make any sort of formal announcement about a Black Friday sale on the PS Store, so keep checking back for more information.
What Sony has talked a bit about though is future sales, with Community Manager of PlayStation Digital Platforms Paul Sullivan saying “there are sales on tap for December and next week, for sure.” When it comes to the news regarding the December 2013 PlayStation Plus free games in North America, Paul said we can expect it “soon”, adding “signs points to yes” when asked if we will see it before the holiday.
So, unless there’s been a huge mistake by Sony on the PlayStation Store, expect some good deals on digital games this weekend, which will hopefully be perfect to spend $60 on.
