January 2014 PlayStation Plus Free Games in Europe Being Revealed on Friday, You May be “Very Pleased” With the PS3 Games

We’ve known that the January 2014 PlayStation Plus free games in Europe would be revealed soon, and now PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus Content Manager for Europe Chris Howe has confirmed:

New content for IGC wil be announced on Friday.

We know that Don’t Starve is almost definitely going to be the PS4’s free game (at least in North America), with Chris saying, “I think you will be very pleased with the PS3 games.” We’ll let you know what all the games are as soon as they’re announced.

There was also a few miscellaneous things revealed on the EU PS Blog from Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store team and Chris Howe:

  • When it comes to the 12 Deals of Christmas, Muramasa Rebirth “won’t be featured.”
  • Deadpool won’t be on offer in the 12 Deals of Christmas.
  • Dragon’s Crown won’t be on offer in the 12 Deals of Christmas.
  • As for a sale for The Walking Dead Season 1, it isn’t for sure, but “just wait at least until Christmas.”
  • Finally confirmed: Terraria isn’t Cross Buy. It offers Cross Play and Cross Saves though.
  • Expect to possibly see a sale on Borderlands DLC next week.
  • We’re expecting The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1: All That Remains to release for PS3 next week, but at least in Europe, “I can’t confirm it will release [next week] at the moment.” Stay tuned.
