No More European PlayStation Store Updates in 2013, But Expect Details on a New Sale Next Week

As part of today’s PlayStation Store update in Europe, it has been revealed that there won’t be another update this year, likely because Christmas takes place next Wednesday and members of the PlayStation EU team are on vacation.

So, while it doesn’t appear as though any new games or content will be added in Europe until 2014, you can expect to have the following PlayStation Plus free games rotated in on December 24th:

  • DmC Devil May Cry (PS3) – December 24th
  • Borderlands 2 (PS3) – December 24th
  • Soul Sacrifice (PS Vita) – December 24th
  • BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend (PS Vita) – December 24th

In terms of sales, there’s still deal 10 (details tomorrow), 11, and 12 in the 12 Deals of Christmas upcoming, with Chris Howe of the EU PS Store team saying, “Keep an eye out next week for details of another sale.” This new sale will probably go live on December 24th, and there’s “possibly” going to be a deal on Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
