Best PSN Game of 2013 Award

Winner: The Wolf Among Us

Last year’s The Walking Dead was one 2012’s best games, but sadly just narrowly missed the top spot. This year, Telltale Games is back with another IP based off another wildly popular comic series and while there are still parts of the game being made, it has already won us over.

The Wolf Among Us is based off of the comic series Fables, while not as big of a part of popular culture as their last brand, is a perfect fit for Telltale Game’s episodic adventure game style. Playing as a reformed version of the historically evil Big Bad Wolf, you become entrenched into its world quickly and without hesitation. Using wonderfully voiced and written characters, The Wolf Among Us’ ability to add a layer of depth, even though many of us have grown up with these characters, is a true testament to the skill behind the project. Using their trademark pathing system to give the player a story that only they can tell, Telltale Games have not only won this year’s best PSN game, but have left us curious to find out what happens in this world of deep mystery.

Runners Up:

  • Hotline Miami
  • Resogun
  • Guacamelee!
  • Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
