It’s clear that 2014 will be filled with many great games, and to find out which one we’re most excited for, the staff was asked: What is your most anticipated game of 2014?

Anthony Severino – Zombification (@Sev_Anthony)

I’m really looking forward to Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for the Xbox One, but I don’t think I could call it most anticipated. Truthfully, I’m not all that excited about anything currently announced for any platform. But since I have to pick something, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes takes my vote.

I’m thinking something that hasn’t been announced or revealed yet… I’m plenty excited for tons of stuff that has already been announced, from The Division (as long as it releases in 2014), to inFamous: Second Son (to finally show us what the new-gen is all about). But I am confident that 2014 still holds secrets that are sure to excite me more than anything we’ve seen so far, which is saying a lot because I am really anticipating the first full year with my PS4.

Dan Oravasaari - Stick With It

I think it might be a bit too early to pick my most anticipated title for the whole year, as we will undoubtedly get some new announcements in the next few months. But, so far I am really looking forward to South Park: The Stick of Truth and Metal Gear Sold V: Ground Zeroes. As I’ve been wanting South Park since before it was delayed and Metal Gear is one of my favorite series.

Strictly looking at announced games, it really comes down to inFamous: Second Son and the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for me. Since they come out in the same week and I’ve been dying to replay Final Fantasy X for years now, I’ll probably be getting the Remaster first and waiting on Second Son for a little bit. So, I guess my answer is the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.

For unannounced games, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has completely changed my thoughts on the Assassin’s Creed franchise and I’m really excited to see what they do next. I don’t think they can recapture the magic of Black Flag, but I’m still excited.

I’m a huge baseball fan so it should come as no surprise that MLB 14: the Show for the PS4 is my most anticipated game. The previously released screenshots showed a huge step-up in graphics over the PS3, and the game save progression for future editions makes this a must have PS4 title for me.

Dark Souls II. I had the opportunity to play the Network Test and had to put the game down after an hour. Excellent gameplay and environment, but the tension was so high trying to avoid death and the penalties that come with dying I had to take a break. I cannot wait to play the full game and feel that again.

Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky scratches my Asimov itch, so it’s easily my most anticipated game of the year… that is if it comes out in 2014.
