Square Enix went very in-depth when it comes to details surrounding the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn over the weekend, including how people who own a PS4 will be able to participate in the free Beta Test starting on February 22nd in North America and Europe. No restrictions were named for this beta, so it looks anyone and everyone can participate.

After the beta test ends, the full version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4 will launch Monday, April 14th in North America and Europe. If you happen to own the PS3 version of A Realm Reborn, you can transfer your account to the PS4 version for free starting on April 11th, but once you do this you will no longer be able to access the PS3 version. To play both versions, you’ll have to buy the PS4 version separately.
