General News

  • It turns out that video chronicling life at Sony Santa Monica is outdated as the developer will be moving their studio a few miles south to Playa Vista. Don’t worry, the name ‘Sony Santa Monica’ will stay, and this new building “dramatically increases the size of our open floor plan.” Their new digs will also have a state-of-the-art recording studio and cutting-edge motion capture facility, which will be used by Naughty Dog as well. When reached for comment Sony said, “We do not comment on rumor or speculation.” [Via 1, 2]
  • Speaking of The Last of Us, Jawad Ashraf of the EU PlayStation Store team said Left Behind would “support pre-load.” If true, you’ll be able to download the file before release on February 14th and have it unlock when it’s officially released. [Source]
