Report: The Order: 1886 to run at 30fps, Ready at Dawn Wasn’t Targeting 60fps

If recent rumors are to be believed, there should be quite a bit more The Order: 1886 information arriving later this month, but ahead of all this, an interview between Play3 and Ready at Dawn CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya has come out. Since it is a translation (and a Google translation at that), there could always be something that gets mixed up or mis-translated, so be aware of that when we tell you of Ru’s comments that The Order: 1886 would be running at 30fps.

Ru’s full quote on the matter shows that Ready at Dawn wasn’t aiming for 60fps on The Order: 1886, that’s something he believes is predetermined for first-person shooters and fighting games, and the focus for them is a cinematic experience in full 1080p.

Elsewhere in the interview, Ru mentions how The Order: 1886 is a single player game where we just control the main character, they will be discussing whether or not we can issue actions to our AI partners at a later date, and the destructible cover system is so advanced that you can shoot holes in it, or you can deform things made of metal.

We’ll be sure to bring you much more information about The Order: 1886 as it arrives, so stay tuned.
