After the reveal of 7 scenes in South Park: The Stick of Truth that involved anal probing and abortion being censored for the EMEA region earlier this week, it’s also been confirmed that the German version of the game has had all Nazi symbols removed, which is in accordance with German law.

This news came to light after VG247 noticed the symbols were missing, with a rep from Ubisoft confirming:

With regards to the German version, all Nazi symbols have been removed from the game in accordance with German law.

Over on Twitter, developer Obsidian said, “Regarding censoring stuff on Stick of Truth, unfortunately we can’t comment as the developer, but we’re told something will be coming soon.” While we’re still awaiting a full statement from Ubisoft on the matter, Obsidian did confirm, “The US version is censor-free.”

South Park: The Stick of Truth launches next week on PS3 and you can expect our review of the game soon.
