“No Plans” to Replace Uncharted: Golden Abyss & Gravity Rush in the PlayStation Plus IGC

Ever since PlayStation Plus first launched for the PlayStation Vita back in November 2012, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush have been offered as free titles in the Instant Game Collection for both North American and European PS+ members. Last year, it appeared as though both games would be rotating out in November 2013 once 1 full year had passed, but PlayStation ultimately decided to leave them in because “we don’t feel that it is the right time to change them.”

In a new update today on the PS Blog by Chris Howe, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus Content Manager at SCEE, he responded to a question asking when we might see Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush replaced in the IGC:

I know it’s been asked quite a bit but I have no information to share regarding the Vita titles. Only thing I can say is that for now we have no plans to change them.

Howe then added, “There is no delay [in replacing them], we have no plans to update these games.”

As for the leaked list of March 2014 PlayStation Plus free games that appeared a few weeks ago (and turned out to be true), SCEE Blog Manager Fred Dutton said:

Alas, leaks do happen every now and then (and they make us cry :( ). However, leaks often happen before arrangements are 100% confirmed from a legal/business point of view, and we can’t confirm things until all ‘t’s have been crossed and ‘i’s have been dotted. Sorry to keep you waiting for confirmation.

For a couple other miscellaneous responses, Dutton said there will be DriveClub news “before too long,” with an update on Borderlands 2 for PS Vita soon, as they’re “just finalizing details now.”
