Watch Dogs Story Length Estimated at 35-40 Hours

Watch Dogs was one of the most anticipated launch titles for the new consoles last year, but unfortunately it ended up getting delayed. With its release a little over two months away, Creative Director Jonathan Morin responded on Twitter to a question about the length of the game’s story mode.

@vytla102 I would say the average player which does free roam a bit tend to reach the end within 35-40h. But doing everything is close 100h.

It appears that Watch Dogs will be rather lengthy, although its anyone’s guess as to what his definition of free roaming “a bit” is. This extra length is partially due to additional content added after the delay, as evidenced by the Australian Classification Board upping the game’s rating from MA15+ to R18+ due to what appeared like new content, particularly sexual violence. Ubisoft confirmed this saying:

The entire development team has been working hard to polish and fine tune Watch Dogs in order to deliver a truly memorable open world game. In parallel, the extra time also allowed the team to include a bit of additional content. As per Australian classification guidelines, Ubisoft resubmitted the updated version with the added content to the Australian Classification Board (ACB). The decision to amend the rating of the game from MA15+ to R18+ was made by the ACB.

Watch Dogs launches on May 27 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
