inFamous: Second Son Supports Play as You Download

Giving out a little bit more information about being able to pre-load your games on PS4, Sucker Punch said that it will definitely be added to SCEA (North America) in April, but they aren’t sure about SCEE (Europe). Whatever the case, we do know that you won’t be able to pre-load inFamous: Second Son before it launches tomorrow, March 21st.

So, while you won’t be able to pre-download inFamous; Second Son, you will be able to play it before the download has finished. This is because the game supports PlayGo, or Play as you Download, which allows you to play the game after a portion has been downloaded (the amount needed was unspecified).

In a separate topic, the Paper Trail DLC that’s added to inFamous: Second Son via patch 1.01 isn’t available in Europe yet, with Sucker Punch saying, “We are working on having Paper Trail available in Europe. Need to work a few hurdles first.” They added that an update regarding Paper Trail in Europe should be given out soon.

The digital version of inFamous: Second Son will be available at 12AM in Europe and 12AM PST/3AM EST in North America. Those in the United States will be paying $59.99 through the PlayStation Store, with the Canadian price at $69.99, and here’s what Europeans can expect to pay:

There are two options for a digital purchase: the standard version including just the game itself (€59.99/£49.99/AU$79.95), and the Legacy Edition, which includes the Cole’s Legacy expansion, four in-game jackets for Delsin to wear, and an additional jacket that unlocks when you complete Cole’s Legacy (€69.99/£62.99/AU$104.95).
