General News

  • I’m not sure, but I think new DLC is coming soon for Sound Shapes. [Twitter]
  • Narrowing it down even further that Mercenary Kings will be our April 2014 PS4 free game through PlayStation Plus, Fred Dutton of the EU PS Blog said that neither PayDay 2, Injustice: Gods Among Us, or Secret Ponchos would be added to the IGC next month. Full April 2014 PS+ details should be given on Thursday for Europe and North America, so stay tuned. [Source]
  • Although it appears to not be releasing in North America this week, Fred Dutton also confirmed Strike Suit Zero is set to release for the PS4 this Wednesday in Europe. We’ll let you know once we hear more details about North America. [Source]
  • Developer HeSaw has revealed that Blue Estate will be coming to the PlayStation 4, using the gyroscope in the DualShock 4, with “more platforms to be announced soon.” [Via, Twitter]
  • There’s apparently going to be a “fantastic” God of War: Ascension celebration on the PSN tomorrow, along with a multiplayer gift “to make everyone feel like Kratos.” [Twitter]
  • GDC 2014 was very successful, setting a new record of more than 24,000 attendees. GDC 2015 will be held between March 2nd – 6th at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. [Source]
  • Across the PS3, PS Vita, and Xbox 360, Terraria has seen 1 million downloads. On iOS and Android, the combined number is 1.3 million. [Press Release]
  • Proving there isn’t enough LEGO games already available on handhelds, Warner Bros has confirmed that LEGO Ninjago: Nindroids will release this Summer for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS. According to the description, there will be 30 levels that follow the key plot scenarios of LEGO Ninjago Rebooted the TV series. [Press Release]
  • There will be a Beyond: Two Souls Costume Pack available for various LittleBigPlanet games this week because why not. [Source]

  • Based on what appears to be an early leak, Redbox will be offering Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One games soon. They’ve taken down any hints of this on their website though, so treat it as a rumor for now. [Via, Source]
