The Last of Us Art Director has Left Naughty Dog

First Amy Hennig left Naughty Dog and is now working on a new Star Wars project, then Uncharted PS4 Game Director Justin Richmond left Naughty Dog to work at Riot Games, and now we know that Nate Wells, Art Director on The Last of Us, has left Naughty Dog for Giant Sparrow.

Wells confirmed this news on his Twitter account, where he revealed that the move took place early this month:

Hmmm….seem to be some threads here. Yes, I joined the wild, wacky, and ultimately brilliant folks at Giant Sparrow on April 3rd.

If Giant Sparrow sounds familiar, it’s because they are the developers behind The Unfinished Swan. Wells’ updated profile shows that he’s Art Director at Giant Sparrow and, while he didn’t say what he’s working on, we do know the studio is working on something called Edith Finch, which is described as follows:

It’s not a sequel to The Unfinished Swan, but it’s not a million miles away either. If you like surreal experiences, and games that aren’t much like anything you’ve ever played before, then you’ll probably like it.

Are you even more excited for Giant Sparrow’s next game now? Let us know in the comments below.
