Japanese Sales Chart: PS4 Sales Rise, But Can’t Top 3DS or PS Vita

It was a down week pretty much all around when it comes to software and hardware in Japan, with the PS4 the only system to see significant growth, moving 14,396 units (as opposed to 13,034 in the previous week), and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4 the best new release with 31,326 copies sold.

After a rare win in the previous week, the PlayStation Vita only managed to move 17,905 units, placing it about 2,000 shy of the 3DS’s combined 19,943. The 3DS also had the highest selling game of the week with Yokai Watch at 34,690.

Here’s how each system sold, along with the top 20 selling games in Japan between April 14th – 20th, 2014, according to Media Create:
