Wolfenstein: The New Order’s PS4 Install Requires Nearly 50GB

With Wolfenstein: The New Order launching on May 20th in North America and Europe, Bethesda took the time to give out full system requirement details to everyone thinking about buying the game on PC, while at the same time offering up some very interesting details about the console versions of the game:

PlayStation 4

  • Hard Drive Requirements:  ~47 GB total install
  • Voice Commands optional

PlayStation 3

  • Hard Drive requirements for disc play: 8 GB HDD space
  • Hard Drive requirements for PSN download: 17 GB HDD space

Xbox One

  • Hard Drive requirements: ~47 GB total install
  • Kinect support for Voice Commands (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish only)

Xbox 360

  • Hard Drive requirements: 8 GB minimum
  • Game includes 4 discs, including the first disc that is a mandatory installation disc.

As a friendly reminder, the PS4 and PS3 versions of Wolfenstein: The New Order are up for pre-order on the PlayStation Store right now for 10% off to PlayStation Plus members, with PS4 owners who pre-order the game becoming eligible for pre-loading closer to launch. Also, the product page for the PS4 download version says you need “48GB minimum save size,” with the game outputting in 1080p (the PS3 version is 720p and requires “2MB minimum save size”).
