Having watched the gameplay video for Sunset Overdrive multiple times, it really sucks to know that we won’t be getting the game Insomniac says they’ve been “building up to for 20 years.” Maybe we’ll get lucky and Sunset Overdrive will just end up being a timed exclusive? (I can dream…)

Here’s what everyone is playing this weekend:

Anthony Severino (@Sev_Anthony)

Mother’s Day, so no gaming whatsoever. Not because she says so, but because my wife is an amazing wife and mother and I’m happy to take all the time this weekend to show my appreciation.

Oh, and I’ll also be my own mom and do a little something for my mother-in-law. All great women in my life.

Chandler Wood (@FinchStrife)

I got my platinum on Spider-Man 2 last night right after the live stream, so I’ll be playing a bit of Sportsfriends with family, finally buying Dangonronpa, and continuing the trek for the FFX HD platinum.

Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)

Much like everyone else, I will be doing mostly family time over the weekend.

Provided I actually get mail today, I’ll be popping Mario Golf: World Tour into my 3DS and playing through something that I hope will reach the heights of previous handheld Mario sports titles. If it doesn’t show up, I might just download the God of War Collection onto my PS Vita (yay Cross Buy!) to see how durable the analog sticks truly are.

This weekend I will be playing through some more Borderlands 2 on the PlayStation Vita; great title for on the go. But I will also be swinging my way through The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on the PS4. Besides that, considering this weekend is Mother’s Day, it is time to spend some time with family members and celebrate the holiday on Sunday.

Since we are staying close to the house this weekend, I’ll be trying out MLB 14: The Show on the PS4 both directly from the console and from the Vita via remote play. While I’m not normally a Cubs fan, and anyone who knows me knows I bleed Texas Rangers red, I’d love to take the goat off of the Cubs’ back and win the World Series for them. Maybe I’ll use the SHAREfactory to highlight my World Series appearances as a starting pitcher.

What are you playing this weekend? Let everyone know in the comments below.
