Ubisoft: PS4 & Xbox One Will Combine for 30 Million Units Sold by March 2015

During the companies’ earnings call yesterday, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said (via GameSpot) that they believe the PS4 and Xbox One will combine to sell 30 million units by March 2015.

With the PS4 and Xbox One’s last combined total placing them at 12 million (7 million PS4 and 5 million Xbox One) as of April 2014, it would mean they’d need to move 18 million units in just 11 months. It’s a tough task, but with the Xbox One getting a $399.99 SKU and launching in new territories this September, along with the PS4 and Xbox One enjoying their first full holiday season this year, there’s definitely a chance it could happen.

Also in the call, Ubisoft said they will “see” if they are capable of releasing Assassin’s Creed on a yearly basis going forward, Far Cry 4 will have “a lot more multiplayer” than Far Cry 3, and they believe Watch Dogs “has the power and the potential to become a longstanding brand.”
