PlayStation LifeStyle PlayList: May 24th & 25th, 2014 – Redux Edition

Metro Redux is a tough sell for me. On one hand, it’s a collection of two great games (which I’ve never played) in full 1080p/60fps on PS4, complete with their DLC. On the other, I haven’t even downloaded my free PS3 copy of Metro: Last Light that I received through PlayStation Plus, so I’m clearly not chomping at the bit to enter the Metro universe. What should  I do?! Wait for Redux, or just download Last Light?

Here’s what everyone is playing this weekend:

Anthony Severino (@Sev_Anthony)

It’s Memorial Day weekend, so I’m going to take it easy. I’m supposed to have a yard sale to get rid of old stuff kicking around the house and shed, but I’m not sure if the weather is going to agree with those plans. I’ll definitely do some grilling, some yard work, a date night with the wife, and some Mario Kart 8.

Between time at the lake surfing and a birthday party for my daughter’s friend, I don’t know how much time I will find to game. I purchased Transistor so maybe I will finally get down to starting it.

The alternate history of Wolfenstein: The New Order is going to be taking all of my time this weekend so that we can finally give you the definitive PSLS review on it. I will mention that I found a sweet Easter Egg where I was able to play the original Escape From Castle Wolfenstein. Anytime I am away from my PS4, it’s going to be finishing up Danganronpa on my Vita, as I feel that I am getting pretty close to the end and finally figuring out the mystery. Seriously, if you liked Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward, you owe it to yourself to try this game out.

I will probably watch Chandler play Wolfenstein: The New Order a lot. Which I don’t mind at all! And I’ll be dealing with two kitties in one small house that don’t like each other. Yay.

Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)

I would like to finally start Transistor, but I’m not sure I will be able get through it before Watch Dogs, so I might wait. Past that, my goal is to finally catch up on some much needed rest.

Since Kirby: Triple Deluxe didn’t show up today, I’ll probably play through some Thomas Was Alone, Final Fantasy X HD, or Final Fantasy X-2 HD on my PS Vita. There’s also a slight chance I may boot up Resident Evil 4 HD and replay through the game for a 20th time.

Memorial Day weekend means some drinks and grilling on the grill. But it also means most of my weekend will be finishing our fence in our backyard. Also working towards the platinum trophy in WWE 2K14 (only one trophy left). Then it will be time to figure out what to play next, most likely try to work through my backlog some more. Between all that and working on our forums, gonna be an awesome weekend.

With my oldest daughter just getting back from studying abroad in Thailand for a year, and this being Memorial Day weekend, gaming takes a back seat to family and friends this weekend. We’ll be having a bar-b-que on Saturday if anyone wants to come on over.

What are you playing this weekend? Let everyone know in the comments below.
