Sony: PS4 the “Preferred Platform” for Watch Dogs & Wolfenstein, #1 in Sports on Next-Gen

After celebrating another month of the PlayStation 4 being on top in terms of hardware sales, SCEA SVP of Brand Marketing Guy Longworth gave out his monthly response to the NPD’s report, touting the fact that people preferred the PS4 for some of the biggest new releases:

PlayStation continues to be the best place to play for innovative IP, as PS4 was the preferred platform for May’s biggest releases, including Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein: The New Order, and held four of the top five spots for next-gen software sales. PS4 is the leading next-gen platform for sports, highlighted in May by the best-selling sports game, MLB 14: The Show.

GamesBeat also points out that, in addition to Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, NBA 2K14, and Call of Duty: Ghosts all performed better on PS4 than Xbox One in May.

Oddly, Microsoft hasn’t made any announcements about how the Xbox One and Xbox 360 did in May, so take that how you will.
