Retro City Rampage “Did Best on PSN,” Contributed 38% of Gross Revenue

Unhappy with the amount of misinformation floating around the internet, Retro City Rampage creator Brian Provinciano released an infographic for the game, which you can read above.

As you can see, the PSN version of the game (PS3 and PS Vita) contributed 38% of the gross revenue, even while being offered for free through PlayStation Plus. In addition, the Xbox 360 version of the game only counted for 12% of gross revenue, and that number is bested by the 3DS version, as well as the PSN version after it was free on PS+ and after the game was out on Xbox 360.

Speaking specifically towards cross-buy, he says, “I was one of the first to do PSN cross-buy and would do it again in a heart beat,” and “there’s no evidence that it hurts sales,” with cross-buy meaning happy customers.

Did you buy Retro City Rampage or get it for free through PS+? What did you think of the game?
