Bethesda Softworks is collaborating with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive during QuakeCon 2014, the company has announced. Called “The Good Within Blood Drive”, it is inspired by the upcoming title, The Evil Within.

VP of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, expressed his confidence in QuakeCon attendees, who he believes will be willing to help the community by donating blood. “The American Red Cross is a terrific organization, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to QuakeCon,” he said.

The Red Cross expressed its gratitude with External Communications Manager, Jan Hale, stating:

The Red Cross is grateful for Bethesda Softworks’ invitation to host a blood drive during such a critical time. The summer months are a particularly difficult period for blood collections and being a part of this event gives us more opportunities to help save lives.

Those who are attending QuakeCon and are interesting in partaking in the blood drive will want to note that it will take place on July 18-19 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
