Update 3:

According to Bungie, “All PlayStation download codes have now been sent. Check in with @BungieHelp and read some tweets if you encounter issues with using them.” The PSN issues may hamper you from having a smooth experience, so keep that in mind when you go to redeem one of the three codes you’ve received today.

Update 2:

Bungie says, “All PS3 download tokens for the Destiny beta have been sent via email. PS4 is next. Or, check your Bungie.net profile page.”

Update:

The PlayStation Store has updated to include the Destiny beta clients, revealing that it’s a 12.3GB download on PlayStation 4, while the PlayStation 3 download is only 5.5GB.

As well, the Destiny beta FAQ says, “PlayStation Plus required to form a Fireteam or engage in competitive multiplayer on PS4.”

Original Story:

The Destiny beta is only a couple of hours away, as Bungie has announced that it will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 at 10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM BT today, with their FAQ reading:

On PS4 and PS3, the Destiny Beta will begin on July 17th at 10AM PDT.

On Xbox One and Xbox 360, the Destiny Beta will begin on July 23rd at 10AM PDT.

The Destiny Beta will be OFFLINE for maintenance on all systems from July 21st and July 22nd PDT.

The Destiny Beta will close at end of the day on July 26th PDT.

Beta redemption codes for the PlayStation Network should be arriving through email and your profile on Bungie.net at 10AM PST today (provided you redeemed your code on Bungie’s website). Since the download size is expected to be roughly 12GB, the beta is incompatible with 12GB PS3s because “USB flash memory and external hard drives are not supported for the Destiny beta, regardless of storage space. The Destiny beta must be installed to an officially supported internal or attached hard drive.”

While you wait for the codes, feel free to download the Destiny beta app through iTunes or Google Play.

If you’ve received your Destiny beta code, feel free to let everyone know in the comments below.
