Sir Paul McCartney, who collaborated with Halo composer Marty O’Donnell for the upcoming Bungie title, Destiny, is planning to release one of the game’s song as a single sometime later this year. While he hasn’t confirmed a date yet, he is hoping to get it out there shortly after Destiny’s launch.

According to The New York Times, the track is fully orchestrated and was recorded in the infamous Abbey Road studio. The theme of the song is ‘hope’ and it has been directed by Giles Martin, son of Beatles producer George Martin.

O’Donnell, who is no longer with Bungie, will still have his work featured in the game.
