Dying Light Dev Diary Shows Off Natural Movement in Disposing the Undead

In this new Dying Light trailer released by Techland titled “Dev Diary #1 – Natural Movement,” the studio showcases how the first-person zombie action game differs from the multitude of games with similar themes.

Not only are zombies stronger at night in Dying Light, but players are given special skills, too, in the form of parkour. Now, gamers won’t need to rely on just running as their only means of movement and escape. They can scale walls, jump from one rooftop to another and more. In short, this isn’t your grandpappy’s zombie game.

Make sure you also check out this other Dying Light video where it shows how a player can swim to traverse the locales. Not a fan of trailers? Then go read up on our hands-on preview of the title at this year’s E3.

How are you liking the movement mechanics in Dying Light? Do you think this will this change the way zombie games are made?
