Because enough people seem to be experiencing the issue, the PlayStation Knowledge Center uploaded a video yesterday, offering tips on how to fix the issues of a PlayStation 4 unexpectedly ejecting a disc, or beeping as if the eject button had been pressed when no disc is present.
If you’d prefer, here’s the steps in written form:
- Press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps.
- Wait about 30 seconds for all system lights to shut off.
- When all system lights are off, unplug the AC power cable and wait for three full minutes.
- Then plug the system in, power it on and see if it operates normally.
The video concludes by saying, “If this does not solve the issue: Visit rma.scea.com where you can arrange to have your PS4 serviced.”
