PS4 Disc Eject Fix Detailed by PlayStation in New Video

Because enough people seem to be experiencing the issue, the PlayStation Knowledge Center uploaded a video yesterday, offering tips on how to fix the issues of a PlayStation 4 unexpectedly ejecting a disc, or beeping as if the eject button had been pressed when no disc is present.

If you’d prefer, here’s the steps in written form:

  1. Press and hold the power button until you hear two beeps.
  2. Wait about 30 seconds for all system lights to shut off.
  3. When all system lights are off, unplug the AC power cable and wait for three full minutes.
  4. Then plug the system in, power it on and see if it operates normally.

The video concludes by saying, “If this does not solve the issue: Visit rma.scea.com where you can arrange to have your PS4 serviced.”

Have you had any problems with your PS4?
