Many PlayStation TV Games Removed From Compatibility List (Update)

Update:

Although he didn’t talk about the removed games, SCEA’s Don Mesa did reveal that Netflix isn’t one of the video apps available day one on PlayStation TV:

PS TV will also launch with video streaming apps Crackle, Crunchyroll and Qello, and stay tuned for additional entertainment content we’ll be adding soon to the PS TV lineup.

Original Story:

Just a few weeks ago, PlayStation detailed the full list of nearly 700 titles that would be compatible with the PlayStation TV on day one.

With the PlayStation TV now available in North America (Europe gets it on November 14), people have noticed that some games are no longer compatible, and through a bit of digging, it’s been discovered that the master list of titles (here’s the original) was updated yesterday, removing a number of games.

Compiled by a user on NeoGAF, these are the titles no longer listed as compatible with PlayStation TV:

PlayStation Portable Games

  • Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
  • Super Monkey Ball Adventure
  • Syphon Filter: Combat Ops
  • Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
  • Thrillville: Off the Rails
  • Twisted Metal: Head-On
  • Valkyria Chronicles 2
  • WipEout Pure

PSOne Classics

  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Silent Hill
  • Sim Theme Park
  • Star Wars: Dark Forces
  • Suikoden
  • Turnabout
  • Um Jammer Lammy

PlayStation Minis

  • TNK III
  • Time Soldiers
  • Touchdown Fever
  • Twin Blades: The Reaping Vanguard
  • Vanguard

There’s also been reports from early buyers that Netflix doesn’t currently work on PlayStation TV.

Will any of these absences prevent you from buying a PlayStation TV?
