BioWare Asking Fan Feedback for Mass Effect Trilogy PS4, Xbox One Remake

With BioWare Edmonton and Montreal GM Aaryn Flynn hinting yesterday that a Mass Effect Trilogy PS4 and Xbox One remake might be on the way, fans might be wondering what’s in store if it ever happens.

Well, as it turns out, even Flynn is curious as to what fans want for the remake. Over on NeoGAF, the BioWare boss posted a short message asking fans what they’d want to see in this remake, with obvious and popular suggestions also listed.

The thing I’d love to hear from people is what you’d like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):

– 1080p

– 60 fps

– High res textures, especially on ME1

– Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs

– All the DLC

– “Seamless experience” – the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.

Agree / disagree? What else?

Bear in mind this is a “wish list” at this point…

Now, before you get too excited, take note that Flynn said that this is a “wish list” at this point, so even the possibility of a trilogy re-release with upgraded bells and whistles isn’t a sure thing. Of course, given how popular remasters are now, I wouldn’t be surprised if it indeed does happen.

As someone who thoroughly enjoyed the Mass Effect series last-gen, I’m all for this. I know a lot of people are against remasters, but this would be the perfect game to tide people over until the next Mass Effect sees the light of day. And heck, I wouldn’t mind playing ME3’s multiplayer using a DualShock 4, either.

Would you want a Mass Effect Trilogy re-release? What would you want BioWare to include in it if so?
