Just Cause 3 Confirmed, Releases in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, PC (Update)

Update:

Game Informer spoke with Square Enix, where a rep confirmed that “Just Cause 3 is not free to play – it’s a full price title for Windows PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 scheduled for release in 2015.”

As well, Avalanche Studios Founder Christofer Sundberg talked about Just Cause 3:

We’ve been waiting for this moment ever since Just Cause 2 was released. This is the culmination of a decade’s worth of open-world evolution and innovation. In Just Cause 3, we’ve sent Rico to a beautiful Mediterranean archipelago. He is of course bringing his Grapple and Parachute, both with game-changing upgrades, as well as the brand new Wingsuit. Just Cause 3 truly represents the next generation of chaotic sandbox fun, and we can’t wait to show you more next year.

Original Story:

A Just Cause 3 reveal this month was essentially teased last week, and with the December 2014 Game Informer cover reveal today, the game was officially announced.

Scheduled for release in 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Just Cause 3 doesn’t have many details revealed quite yet, though Game Informer confirms that Rico will be back and in a “new world.”

Game Informer offered up their thoughts on the few hours of playtime they had with Just Cause 3:

The time flew by as we tried out the vastly improved parachute and grapple mechanics, terrorized the latest dictator’s well-defended bases, and soared through the sky with the all-new wingsuit. Just Cause has never played this smoothly, and as you’ll see in the cover story launching digitally today, it’s never looked this good.

With the digital issue going live today, more info about Just Cause 3 should surface very soon.
