Japanese Sales Chart: PS4 Finishes Third in Hardware, Moves 10,000 Units

It was a fairly slow week for software in Japan, with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Yokai Watch 2 for 3DS finishing 1st and 2nd with 57,000 and 27,000 sold, respectively. After Super Smash Bros 3DS in 3rd with 24,000 in sales, things drop off considerably, with the 4th place game selling just over 9,000, and the highest new release, The LEGO Movie Videogame on 3DS, moving only 4,200 units.

Over in hardware, things are a little better, with the New 3DS XL rising by 9,000 to sell over 50,000 units, and the regular New 3DS jumping up by 1,000. As for the PlayStation 4, it had a rare 3rd place finish by moving 10,000 systems.

At the bottom of the hardware chart, the PlayStation Vita TV defeated the Xbox One yet again, and the PlayStation Portable is fading fast after selling only 25 units.
