Musical JRPG Omega Quintet Set to Come to North America and Europe in 2015

Idea Factory International recently announced that its turn-based, singing game Omega Quintet will be heading to North America and Europe in 2015.

Although this upcoming JRPG has been available in Japan since October, the Western version of the game will feature both English and Japanese voice-overs, and can be purchased either digitally via the PlayStation Store or physically at video game retailers.

Essentially, as PlayStation LifeStyle got a chance to see at TGS, the game revolves around a group of singing idols, called the Verse Maidens, as they use weapons of sound to battle monsters. While the game relies heavily on tradition RPG elements, it does add in an interesting feature that makes an article of the girls’ clothing fall off each time she is hit by a monster.

The musical title also allows players to use the PS Move, making it the first retail PS4-exclusive game to make use of the movement device. The exact date of the North American and European release was not mentioned, but it will come out sometime in 2015. What do you think of this interesting game? Is it something that you might pick up?
