Sony’s Jim Ryan: We’ll Continue to Build Upon the PS4’s Features, “Directly Addressing Feedback From You”

Two weeks ago, Sony Computer Entertainment America President Shawn Layden celebrated the one year anniversary of the PlayStation 4’s launch in North America. Today, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe President Jim Ryan did the same for his territory.

After talking about how the PS4 is the “most powerful and socially connected gaming system ever built,” Ryan moved to some of the big games to launch during the first year, going so far as to call The Evil Within and Alien: Isolation “bowel-loosening horrors.”

For the PS4’s future, Ryan brought up just a few of the games launching in “the next 12 months,” which includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and No Man’s Sky. While this news isn’t too surprising, it does confirm we’ll see Uncharted 4 and No Man’s Sky before December 2015.

On the hardware side of things, Ryan said they’ll add more PS4 features based on your feedback, while also optimizing their services:

You can also expect to see us continue to innovate and build upon the PS4′s set of features, directly addressing feedback from you, our community of players. We’ll continue to innovate, refine, and optimize our services, ensuring that PlayStation 4 remains the best place to play and offers you unrivaled value.

Preceding The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience next week, the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation brand takes place on December 3. According to Ryan, “We’ve got a busy day of celebrations planned.”

How was your first year with the PS4?
