The Game Awards 2014 – ADR1FT Gameplay Video Paints a Lonely and Empty View of Space

A new gameplay video for 505 Games’ ADR1FT has just been shown at The Game Awards 2014, showing a lonely and disastrous version of space.

The video has the player, an astronaut stuck in space, gazing through his helmet to look upon the ruins of some spacecraft. The player floats around, while the crackling of a communications radio can be heard in the background.

The view is lonely, dark, and surprisingly scary. Much like the movie Gravity, the gameplay video focuses on the emptiness of space. The movement is slow and almost listless, as is to be expected in space, but that slowness promotes a sense of anxiety rather than boredom.
